Teamwork Assessment

This page is for submitting feedback on how well your team worked together during an assignment.  If you are submitting an assignment for evaluation, the assignment submission page is located here.

Teamwork is as essential to most projects as technical knowledge. We wish to know how you and your team are performing on your projects. The results will be used as indicated in the course grading.

Please fill out the following matrix for each member in the team. Put yourself on the first line. See the bottom of the page for notes explaining the diferent fields.

Discipline Primary Focus

On which of the disciplines did this team member concentrate the most.

Teamwork Primary Role

Which of the possible teamwork roles did the team member make the biggest contribution. The Teamwork Roles are:

Role

Meaning

Analyst Performed analysis, primarily numeric
Decisions Made key decisions
Facilitator Helped the group work effectively
Graphics Developed drawings, models, simulations
Ideas Contributed most significant ideas
Idler Didn't do anything much
Presenter Presented group information to others
Recorder Recorded the operations of the group
Writer Wrote important elements of documents

We realize that (almost) all these functions are necessary for most successful groups, we're just asking you to identify each person's primary role. Feel free to add other roles in the comments area.

% of Average Contribution

The numbers in this column should add up to 100 times the number of members in the team. E.g. if a team has four members the numbers should add up to 400. If all team members contribute equally to the project then each would get 100%. If one contributes more than the average, then the one or more of the others would have to get less.

Note: Contribution does NOT necessarily equal hours spent.
